  • Overview


    The Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of lumber and building materials from the warehouse to its final destination in a timely and safe manner.



    • Pick up loads of lumber from yards and deliver to other facilities or to customers.
    • Drive a Trailer (3 Axle), Truck (2 Axle) or Tractor Trailer and/or Boom Truck approximately 40% of an 8 hour day.
    • Operate forklifts to load trucks, as well as hand loading and unloading of miscellaneous materials such as cement bag mix, gravel mix, sand bags, cases of nails, etc. These weigh from 20 – 75 lbs approximately.
    • Load and unload Lally Columns, these can weigh up to 120 lbs. 
    •  Secure the ordered materials on the truck bed.
    • Must drive vehicle and operate equipment in a safe manner.
    • Fuel Truck, schedule maintenance and cleaning, trip inspections, and other routine DOT paperwork.
    • Perform maintenance inspection prior to making deliveries.
    • Comply with all DOT safety rules and procedures.


    Knowledge & Skill Requirements:


    • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
    • Safely operate forklift and commercial vehicles.
    • Must maintain required logbooks.
    • Must keep a mileage log throughout the day and use the company provided radio or phone to contact dispatch of delivery completion.
    • Ability to use tablets. 



    •  High School Diploma
    • Experience in lumber or construction industry (High-End)
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must have a Clean Driving Record.
    • Must have a clean valid Class A CDL from his or her state of residence.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
    • Must be able to safely operate equipment in all types of weather conditions.
    • Must be knowledgeable of FMCSA regulations.
    • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time. In addition, must be able to kneel, walk, bend, push, pull and reach.  

    Preferred Qualifications:


    Bi-lingual a Plus
